I've noticed a big uptick lately in articles/monologues injecting fear, worry, etc about MJ...

The system is starting to really freak out because it's spreading beyond liberal states now. It'll get worse expect full blown scare tactics within the year.

Without the marijuana core labor population, what will the Prison Industrial Complex do for workers?

Gladwell wrote in 1990, when he was a business reporter for The Washington Post the headline "Not Smoking Could Be Hazardous To Pension System." It featured economists predicting increased federal spending on Medicare & Social Security as more people lived longer by smoking less!

yeah, & nbd, it’s not a dicey time for even legal cannabis at all.
I know someone who shuttered a fledgling business in 2016 due to the wind changing. too high of risk to start a business now. -
he’s smart enough to know that the climate denier comparison is malicious. when there’s verifiable data on a range of outcomes, denialists deny the precautionary "worst case scenario.” he spends his article drumming up “worst case” which is unverifiable due to lack of data.

It's a red herring. They know legalization is a matter of time, and they're counting on people to give "government" "permission" to "regulate" (and eventually monopolize) weed, and it will be controlled by the FDA (controlled by big phama/Bayer-Monsanto)

I'm in favor of marijuana legalization, but I don't see this framing you're talking about. You sound defensive.

That plus the obvious: A huge amount of revenue is on the line tied to the fast growing marijuana industry.

I’m all for full legalization for exactly the reasons you stated, but watching the zombies reeking of weed on the
@MBTA and dealing with them while they are “perfectly fine” is making me curious as to what a legitimate study by scientists without an agenda would find.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I support marijuana legalization as a net societal good. I voted to legalize recreational pot twice, glad I did. I also believe that it's very likely harmful to long-term users, though probably not as bad tobacco. More scientific evidence would be great. What's wrong with that?

It's important to keep separate the failed government policy towards cannabis and its actual effects on health. Alcohol is bad for your health, yet we have a sensible policy for regulating its production and controlling its sale.
