Bernie is already being swarmed with micro-scandals intended to force him from the race: because for Democratic loyalists, he represents discord and division. Meanwhile, Beto soothes their anxieties with inspiring platitudes and a "cool" persona. My item:https://spectator.us/battle-bernie-beto/ …

Bernie will be attacked by Democratic officials primarily on identity grounds: hence the recent NYT story which used the flimsiest of pretexts to castigate him as somehow a sexual harassment enabler. For still-mysterious reasons, Beto flatters and excites the identity-first crowd

The “micro-scandals” are only going to get louder and more numerous as a potential announcement nears. That’s because Bernie is still the candidate who most threatens established factions of the Democratic Party

Bernie is bad for business. Too independent. Beto is an approval seeker. Easy to control.

You're surprised they'll attack Sanders? Question you should ask yourself is why you still believe ANYONE other than the DNC elite leadership' choice has a chance. You need to re-watch interviews at end of last nomination process 'we choose nominee, not the voters'. Enough said

I am not a Sanders support so YMMV, but I was a Ron Paul supporter in '08 and I think they both have some of the same problems. A lot of baggage, certainly more in Pauls case, but neither should have or should make a second run( or third), run at the white house.

What they needed or need to do is find the spiritual successor of the last campaign, and throw the full weight of their efforts behind that person to try to keep moving things in the direction they want to so. Paul did not do that

That's great, Michael. It appears the Bourgeoisie's Beto narrative was supposed to appear organic, so the natural counter arguments appear to be attacks. The Bourgeoisie don't understand doing things without a profit motive, so it must have Bernie's $$$ behind it...yeesh 🤠🙃😹

But it's not "mysterious reasons" tho, it's because Beto raised a ton of money, so party insiders are all like: 💰💰😍🤑 https://theintercept.com/2018/01/23/dccc-democratic-primaries-congress-progressives/ …pic.twitter.com/2Pw3TRJqqu

Not that mysterious it seriously young women in the party think he's pretty. Sexism in a way that the Republicans used to do but since our party tends to have slightly more when you young women especially on the "influencer" variety. Superficial idiots.
