Obama, Biden, Hillary, Feinstein and other prominent Dems all voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, with authorized hundreds of miles of hard barrier along the Southern Border. Has anyone explained what made that bill acceptably liberal, while similar efforts today are fascist?

Finally: why are you maligning these obviously legitimate questions - asking politicians to reconcile their voting record with their current rhetoric - as "trolling"? You've invented a justification for these Dem leaders that they haven't offered for themselves. Very valid to ask

Michael you don't have to do this tired act anymore. nobody is going to be surprised when you officially come out as a trump supporter. in fact we'll be happy for you cause the anti-anti-trump stuff is just exhausting for all of us

That's not how it usually works. People typically tend to criticize those whose political positions are closer to theirs. This functions to keep them more honest and more objective. Irrational anti-Trump noise can drown out rational and needed anti-Trump voices.

It’s fine to be for open borders. It’s a logically defensible position over which reasonable people can disagree. But Dems should just admit it and own it. Don’t pussyfoot around it and tap dance over why they can support agents & drones but not physical barriers. That’s silly.

How is the lack of a wall an "open border"?

They were just as wrong as Trump is now. The only bright side is that they weren't hysterically shrieking about it for years.

Exactly, they change when 'our side' strategically needs it to change and then they don't change when 'we' need it not to change. It's easy. Next question?

if Obama cured cancer, 75% of the GOP would complain. If Trump cured cancer, 75% the Democrats would do the same. Since our two parties are basically the same, each focuses on personalities, not policies.
