Agreed in principle, although your question about institutions was inherently troll-ish.

I guess I understand how some would see it that way, but I do genuinely think the recent rhetoric around "institutions" has a lot of dubious political assumptions embedded in it that need to be scrutinized.

I agree, I think her whole 'mansplaining' gimmick the other day was a relatively low, vapid response to an argument, or even a snide remark. She has the policy positions to win, and I think she should wield them as often as possible.

Which remark was this?

How is it a "threat" to suggest that members of Congress should be viewed critically, in light of the political power they wield?

Watch her live Instagram stories. She has people engaged and talking about policy she supports. That's what it's all about.

Everyone's feet need to be held to the fire. In DC, it's very easy to get detoured from the reasons officials get elected for in the first place.

Wait, isn't that how she was elected?

She’s about to be surrounded by predatory people. So it’s important that she be able to keep an objective point of view to avoid becoming an unprincipled partisan.

My concern is this: who is she? She has no political history. Everyone on the Left seems to hopping on the Cortez bandwagon. She says the right things but so did Obama in the not so long ago...
-
She always talks about policy she supports. Check out her socks media...she's an open book.

Yeah this is definitely a problem that needs solving with the skill of sophistry. How about you come up with better questions and then ok.

Absolutely. They need to start collecting all her stuff and preparing responses to it. Merely calling it "stupid" won't work. The media will be totally on her side...

I love your commentary, Michael, but goddamnit sometimes you are a curmudgeon. It is, after all, "rhetoric." And let's not overstate that "political power" just yet. Let me enjoy myself for a time, you grump. (I would refuse to be a member of any clique that would have me.)

You were given examples such as fossil fuel execs bring picked to run EPA therefore eroding that institution. That happens across the board; deregulators picked to regulate. Your response didn't appear on my feed, or did you have one?
