As @mtaibbi said: Trump’s decisions on Syria / Afghanistan will lay bare the real distinctions in Am politics. Political power in this country is not divided between right / left, … rich / poor.
The real line is between a war party, and everyone else.https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/trump-syria-withdrawal-772177/ …

His politics are multi-dimensional. Applauding Trump or seeing it as an unalloyed good is shortsighted.https://twitter.com/tippingelements/status/1078476207325306880?s=21 …

“Rolling back empire” even as Pompeo boasts of pressing on until “Rapture,” Trump boasts of US military’s “domination” while in Iraq, and states he “has no intentions of withdrawing the 5,200 American military personnel from Iraq” to Iraqi govt urging. Privatizing Afghanistan.

I thought Trump’s SOTU and the Democrat reaction made it obvious: the Democrats do not acknowledge Trump and they won’t work with Trump.

Kurds - a "landless" people. tho they've lived on the land for eons - find themselves in the same predicament as the Palestinians. Unlike the Palestinians, the Kurds are geopolitically "valuable", not to mention the resources - oil & minerals. The US was never in there to "help"
-
The Kurds may suffer in the same manner as the Pol Pot's killing fields of Cambodia (vendetta against "traitors") after the USA withdraw. PEACEMAKER troops (NOT US troops!!) need to be present to prevent genocide.
