And how long will that take? Months?

Lack of knowledge has never stopped her from making comments before!

she def wants to tweet support for it but would be hit by a flurry of "Alexandra NOOO" or "this ain't it chief"s. Silence is telling of her feelings

Michael, Michael, Michael. Granted that I am biased in favor of that new Representative, but can we not be a bit more patient than this? My bet is that she will not let you down in the long run.
-
I mean, she has yet to warm a seat in the House.

It’s also possible that she’s strategically focusing on domestic issues. I’m not a supporter of hers but that is justifiable if she thinks we focus too much on foreign policy and not enough on domestic policy.
-
Since when do we focus too much on foreign policy? It was almost entirely neglected during both 2016 and 2018 election cycles.

AOC doesn't want to alienate any donors she'll need in the future by coming out too strong against neoconservative policy. She'll signal on immigration and global warming because those issues she's on the side of the "establishment" already.

Shameful that journalists aren’t getting every member of Congress on the record.

Actually I think she’s probably done a legitimate risk analysis; from what I’ve observed, a heavy focus on domestic issues is the litmus test with her brand of supporters. She can get by with campaigning for M4A, GND etc. so why bother wading into controversy with others.
-
Ditto. I’ll settle for silence. This is reasonable and I am coming to the conclusion the best we can expect from a dem socialist in Washington is zipped lips

Leadership will corral her & by 2020 she will be indistinguishable from the rest of the pack Except for her social media game
-
anybody can have a social media game. in person debates are a bit more challenging, and one she is not likely to wade into very often. she specializes in speaking to those who already agree with her, not much else.

I think it’s more of a lose lose for her — she knows the lefties (like me) won’t abandon her but it may prevent any sort of rise in the party for now. Better silence than death
-
See that's the problem. She isn't willing to stake out a position. If she did, I would have a bit more respect for her.

I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. It’s actually refreshing to hear a politician say “I need to actually learn something about the subject before I run my yap.”
