The Phantom Menace will never be exterminated. That is why this is the perfect war for those who profit from it. It lurks in every corner, every alleyway, and shifts from country to country.

The worst blunder? OK, now that I think about it, bringing troops home fr/ Syria IS worse than bombing the wrong country, causing 100s of 1,000s of deaths, destabilizing the Middle East & calling it "Mission Accomplished." Yeah..it does. Now, that I think about it.

Leaving now would not be a blunder. USA's stated Military Mission in Syria was to drive out Islamic State. USA helped Kurds drive Islamic State out of their area but the stated mission was NEVER to MAINTAIN an area for them. USA troops completed the mission. Time to exit.

What she leaves out is French troops are taking our place, private operators are staying in place, and the Saudis are taking over protecting the Kurds. All we're doing is taking our troops home and leaving our allies to finish up. I don't see a problem?

She once hosted an event for the Weekly Standard that was broadcast on C-Span.

Shaheen has a history of trying to appear moderate by sometimes taking reactionary positions. Recently, she voted against Dodd-Frank and for warrantless wiretapping. In the past, she supported the Iraq War. As governor of NH, she underfunded schools & vetoed a death penalty ban.

This is, unfortunately, my Senator. As you can tell from this, she is a hard-core Clintonite neoliberal who gets her FP advice from Kissinger & Tom Friedman. Y'all should therefore give her the appropriate volume of serious attention.

So this lady wants to stay there forever. Part of the problem is we are from a totally different culture trying to tell them how to live. We need to get out and let them solve their own problems

This lady wants to do whatever Hillary tells her to do, and think whatever Hillary tells her to think. And I speak as a constituent.

I agree. I’m not a fan of Trump, but why not pull the troops out? Rip the bandaid off. It’s all aftermath from illegally started wars anyway.

I wonder if social media is somehow to blame for the fact that the neocons all use identical language in reciting their litany of talking points. The idea that they are a legion of zombies controlled by some hidden collective brain seems far-fetched.

MIC supported congress critters think they can endlessly insult the intelligence of the US public into continuing their worship of war. Unfortunately, most of the US public hasn't caught on yet.

I would say getting involved in Syria in the first place was the worst foreign policy mistake this century

Basically, the Empire of Debt w/ an overstretched military around the globe is calling it quits in 2 immoral wars, while China is busy w/ development & infrastructure nationally & internationally, spreading influence via markets (sprinkled w/ some debt diplomacy) not bombs.

She said it will be one of the worst foreign policy blunders of this century, to be exact, which is ludicrous. That bar was set pretty high with Iraq and Libya.
