You can support bringing troops back home from an unauthorized war in Syria while also agreeing that Trump is doing it for the wrong reasons and in the wrong way.

What are these "wrong reasons," and why do they matter if the outcome is desirable?

Sigh. Because some of us are bothered if a president uses foreign policy to distract from domestic crisis and corruption. And because some of us think there are plenty of unanswered questions about Trump’s ties to Russia. And because this isn’t how you run a government.

What's your evidence for this withdrawal being the product of some corrupt Russian deal, other than typical frenzied media speculation? Are you aware Trump expressed reticence about long-term military commitment in Syria all throughout the 2016 campaign?

No proof of what will happen or what would happen if the USA stayed. People forget there are more than 20m Kurds living in Turkey.

Why would anybody ever trust the United States again or want to work with us? Remember this not job is the president for the next two years a lot of bad stuff could happen!

Re: second part: motive matters. That’s why you can take down Saddam (a good short-term outcome) and end up with something worse.

'Cause maybe it's bad to signal to Russia, Syria, and Iran that they're gonna just up and leave and leave the Syrian rebels in the wind. Do you want to know why OIF was a clusterfuck? Because Bush told people to rise up against Saddam and then let Saddam kill them.

The "wrong reasons" are political, he sees it as a political promise to fulfill and is ignoring the actual repercussions. The outcome is not desirable if it leads to widespread suffering and more violence in Syria. Lives are more important than vapid political narratives.
