does trump making unilateral national security decisions sound like a good idea to you?

Well, that's how the presidency has tended to operate for the past several decades. If the decision is to rescind an unnecessary military deployment, that sounds like a good idea

If we don’t want the president to be able to call troops home independently, the president should not be allowed to send them independently in the first place.

The President gives the military $700 billion but that isn’t enough to the warmonger of the Republican Party. Brining home 2000 troops is way to “isolationist” for them.

But do we want that circumvention to go both ways? And just because we may agree with the results this time, do we really trust the Cheeto in Chief to make the right decision next time?

Good news: Congress can declare war on Syria, then he'll have to keep troops there. Or impeach him for being insufficiently bellicose. Or we can elect a new Executive in 2020. I'm not sure Americans understand how republican government works any more.

Cool. All we are doing is destroying Constituiton and breaking laws. To admit that 8 years of the brightest and best of the Democrats controlling every agency and yea verily the greatest Democrat President ever, Obama, could do nothing right with it, is one hell of a confession

i highly doubt any of these decisions are made in a total vacuum. one may be sure there was a field of advisors, if selectively limited.
