Just a way to get “Flynn” and “Treason” into tomorrow’s headlines.

You are easily one of my favorite political follows...never seem to have any ideological slant either way, just calling balls and strikes as you see them. We could use A LOT more of this!

Flynn was less than smart. Doing what he did was outside the norm for a person who has been in the Intel business for so long. That a treason wasn't brought up only means there wasn't enough to envoke it. (This last sentence is speculation on my part)
-
Silly speculation frankly. Treason has never been alleged because there is zero reason to suspect it. There is no 'enemies' alleged to have been aided/comforted by Flynn, we are not at war with Russia, Turkey or Israel.

Flynn wasn’t getting the hint. Judge considered semaphore, then went with treason. N-E-E-D T-I-M-E. Delay sentencing. These contemptible late complying arrogant asshats are going down but I need more time.

To be fair, the judge has read and is deeply aware of the redacted filings. And Mike Flynn has a son named Mike Flynn Jr., also Flynn's biz partner and potentially culpable. Weird how Flynn's other two biz partners just indicted. Maybe we should wait a wee bit?

Yeah, in the original American witch-hunts in Salem even the "witches" ended up believing they were guilty but as with all witch-hunts- including the current Mueller one - there was no guilt.

Possible interpretation: he was trying to indicate, by reductio ad absurdum, that prosecutorial misconduct could lead to arbitrary charges, even grave ones like treason. He said “arguably” but maybe meant “supposedly”.
-
I wondered about that. If the conclusion is arguable, wouldn’t you not make it? Very strange.

The judge had a personal agenda on humiliating Flynn in front of the world and procured himself an embarrassment the entire world witnessed. People need to know that judges are fair that are not going to display political bias while sentencing a person. Today democracy failed!

Also shows how shallow some judges are. In my experience the most conformist, unlikely to question appearances, hear say vulnerable in the whole population.

Not to be hyperbolic but we murder words so casually these days it’s not even funny.

As well as demonstrating that the popular (ridiculous) notion of judges being inherently apolitical is false and preposterous.
