Can anyone pinpoint any GOP achievements over the past several years? Why do we expect they'll do anything? They've done absolute zero. And being more afraid of the other guy will only get you so far.

They enriched their donors with a giant corporate tax cut, which is basically the only thing many of them want

Yeah, somehow putting Grandma on catfood as a policy just didn't resonate.

It takes the wind out of the party's sails when the speaker of the house is a Never-Trumper, is beholden to Never-Trumper big donors, and is always working against Trump, or in search of a mic to give a comment about how he disapproves or disagrees with Trump on this or that.

Also, many refused to even take the field. How much of the loss is due to the lack of incumbency advantage? Cowards, good riddance

The only way it's a factor is because they deny & refute the agenda Trump represents & what he was elected to accomplish. Which is equivalent to ignoring & refusing to act on MAGA -- The People's will.

The Pubbies lost in areas where Trump won easily, and somehow that's supposed to be Trump's fault.

Historic? Dems lost 54 seats in 1994; 63 in 2006. Not saying the Rs deserved to retain house, but historic? Seems pretty much par for the course for the last 40 years or so. I could be wrong.

*whispers and leans forward* GOP failed governance is directly related to Trump.

"we did virtually none of the things that Trump promised that won him an election, but clearly our midterm losses are a referendum on HIM" lol. spoken like a typical, painfully out of touch GOP dinosaur.
