Just one of countless examples, but here was Jake Tapper's opening question to Colin Powell this morning for their segment on HW Bush: "Why was he so successful in foreign affairs?" The "success" is just presumed, like a metaphysical truth, not to be questioned or interrogated

The press is in full blown advocacy now. It’s not about honoring a dead president who was also a decorated veteran. It’s about promotion of the globalist agenda put forward by HW in no uncertain terms.

I would call the dismantling of the Soviet empire in Europe without a major war breaking out between the Super Powers very successful.

Iraq, after it invaded Kuwait, was reined in quickly in a limited-scope war. His foreign affairs were pretty good overall I would say. I don't see much to complain about, especially when we start comparing with Bill Clinton or (God help us) Dubya.

Until you read absolutely anything about his life, background, family, "private enterprise" He was in the CIA BEFORE He was the director(lied to Congress about it). That means he was on mission as the CIA director and then as President.

Well, he was able to do a lot of things that he wanted to do. Which is a kind of success. Whether those things were good ideas or not is another matter.

Ross Perot took 19% of the non-Democtst votes. If Perot di not run, Clinton would have likely lost.

I think there has been plenty of time, and time still to come, to hash out perceived issues with his presidency. There is also no stone where it is written that when speaking of fmr/deceased presidents one must immediately begin picking them apart as if in office still or running

True. Regardless of who is in office it should be questioned. I think he was successful and he was, out of sense of duty and knowledge of history and belief in a world order. But I could take the other side and make a convincing case as well. A pretty good case too.
