Bush (and Quayle) blamed Ross Perot for their 1992 loss, but it was never totally straightforward which candidate Perot drew most votes from. Some polls showed Perot disadvantaging Clinton. As ever, third parties were an easy scapegoat to displace responsibility for failure.

Perot tried to warn the public that the emerging globalist economy and the worldwide free trade arrangements proposed at that time could not be good for the American worker. But the Bushes and Clinton’s dismissed this obvious truth.

The later closeness of the relationship between HW Bush and Bill Clinton is partially due to the their intertwined legacies. The establishment of “the new world order”, this international technocracy in which we live, binds them at the hip.

Those third party candidates are disgrace for demonocracy. They should just decide once and for all, the Democrats win all odd-year presidential election, the Republicans win all even-year Presidential elections.

Blaming third party voters is petulant and weak. Why isn’t there more discussion on the fact that half of voters don’t even show up?

I was one the young ones that voted 4 Perot. I remember a lot of youth voted for him. Either way, he split the vote, + the slimy Carville campaign, and the buyout of the media pushed Clinton over the edge. I wanted a businessman in office then, and I finally got my wish in 2016.

You're right. Agree totally, and your recollection about the young vote is spot-on. Pollsters don't catch a thing.

I've never met a Democrat with an affinity for Ross Perot. Have you? He took like 18% of the popular vote. Huge impact on GW.

Too bad Perot was a pansy (kinda like Bernie) he probably would have won if he’d stay strong the whole way. We might not have had nafta.

It's just as likely Perot didn't take any votes and simply got votes from people who otherwise wouldn't have votes.
