I can’t tell you how many people have angrily tweeted some variation of “CUZ
HE’S
NOT
A
DEMOCRAT” in reaction to this piece. It’s like some kind of cultish death chanthttps://spectator.us/bernie-sanders-democratic-front-runner/ …

It's not a disqualifier, but it's certainly annoying, because it reads as him expecting to use the party apparatus and resources while not contributing to them. He's a Democrat when it suits him but he doesn't pull his weight in other respects. Sorry, it annoys some people

^nails it. Spot on.

I get where youre coming from here, but Sanders as the Dem nominee in 2020 would be disastrous. Dems need a moderate to take both the left and the moderate right

Come on, you are smarter than this. Whether people view him as a “democrat” is not why he isn’t the front runner.

Most voters know today's Democrats are wholly corrupt and owned by Wall Street. That's how Bernie first won and then lost the undemocratic and rigged primary. Even 40% of Trump voters supported Bernie but not Hillary. That's not deplorable at all.

I'm curious to know what percentage of that 46% were true believers vs anti-Clinton or anti-Trump.

He was the only one running against HRC so default protest vote. Fauxcohontis, Harris and even Spartacus can all play that role this time.

Another “unexplained mystery”. If you’re a democrat and espouse all of those positions popular now with the modern left in terms of health, education, affordable housing etc...then why such anger at a potential Bernie run?

It's almost as if signing a registration card for a particular political party is a difficult thing to do......
