I think it's respectful to remember both the bad and good things a person has done. None of us are perfect...and the idolatry really messes up the thinking, IMHO

That’s right. As human beings, we’re all flawed to some measure—some more than others. In these cases it would help if we took this to heart and shared our thoughts on both sides of the human experience. GHWB was a man. GHWB was also one who caused great misery and death to many.

And SO many people STILL view the nightly "News" as their prime source for info. Wow! I stopped (quite a ways back) wondering why things are the way they are..

Making a CIA spook the prez was always a stupid self destructive move by voters. How about the whitewash of Bush's role in the October Surprise by flying in a single man jet Paris to stop the release of Iran prisoners before election day 1980 This was a big help to a Reagan win

The nature of television "programming" is not people friendly. It is a corporate/governmental scheme to commit fraud.

I don't understnd y ppl think tht b/c some1 has died, that that person is above criticism. A person's history & legacy (part 1 w/power) can have long-lasting effects tht do not vanish once the body is cold. The person shld not nec be demonized, but he shldnt be canonized, either.

There is no history if we can’t discuss peoples flaws after they die and then we can’t learn from their mistakes either;

If being the spook in chief and propagator of the military-industrial complex wasn’t bad enough, there’s always the Monsanto-favoring deregulation.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EeS6usKzMTE …

Yep... They love making the deceased into saints. They did the same to McCain. Rewriting history is their forte. I haven't watched cable news in 3 years... I refuse.
