He's most likely going to be running against a huge field of people who are very similar to one another in numerous respects, so even eking out a plurality would be sufficient in the early stages of the primary (as Trump demonstrated last time)

Of course it won't be easy and nothing is certain, but "the fundamentals" are absolutely there for a run that is on much stronger foundation than the conventional takes would have you believe. His political capital has not diminished since 2016, but grown

He's even done things to address relatively marginal weaknesses, like on foreign policy (successfully ushering though the truly groundbreaking Yemen resolution). He extracted a concession directly from Jeff Bezos! Name another national politician with that kind of sway

The attacks are going to be brutal (endless identity stuff) but he has the resources in place to withstand them. And for people moaning about age: he's four years older than Trump and almost certainly in better health (fewer cheeseburgers) so whatever. Ageism is very offensive!

I'll have an essay out soon that elaborates on these points

Pretty much all of those that were scared to go against the establishment before are still scared to do so. Those that are doing it now were either being ignored before or are new, many of whom were inspired by Bernie do make the effort.

Corporate media and its paid propagandists will do anything to not see
#Sanders2020 just like they did everything in their power to stop him in 2016 -
Just as with Corbyn. But he and we persist.

If he wanted to,
@BernieSanders could run third party and be polling higher against Trump than any potential Democrat nominee pretty much from day one. -

I really respect your independent and unique perspective but this shouldn’t surprise you. He’s statistically very to run old, he’s a VERMONT Senator, he’s not a democrat, he carries a lot of ill will due to the theory (right or wrong) many of his supporters didn’t vote Hillary.

I think he can't win because you need African American voters to win the nomination. His constituency is about as diverse as Mitt Romneys
-
I don't think that's true actually. He won non-white voters under 30 in 2016. His problem is with older, non-white voters, who are the most reliable voting bloc.

I don't get the resentment to Bernie. Because he's an old white guy? Sure, we have too many of those. But w/o that old white guy, we wouldn't be talking as much about universal healthcare & we certainly wouldn't be talking about helping student loans IMO.
