By lots of conventional pundit metrics Sanders would be the obvious front-runner, but he’s being treated as anything but. Very strange

Of the 40 seats Dems flipped from red to blue in this cycle, Bernie endorsed exactly...none of them. His purpose was to act as a fun little scarecrow to drive the turnout for lazy college students. It's no wonder his late-stage appearances were always near college campuses.

I don't think you understand the resentment that many in the Party feel towards him after 2016. Just because they don't scream and shout like Sanders and Trump supporters, doesn't mean they're not as passionate.
-
You say "many in the Party," but no poll bears that out. Every poll shows that some 80+% of Democrats have a favorable view him. It's just the people who scream and shout about him here that make it seem like they are "many," but I haven't seen any evidence that they really are.

Democrats Elect Democrats! What is Bernie? Bernie Sanders will NEVER be the Democratic Party presidential nominee period!
-
I think young and/or politically inexperienced people have a distorted view of
#politics. None of it is clear-cut, clean or pretty. But one thing is always true; If you want your party to win you support and vote for your party's candidates - period. Read Machiavelli, folks. - 2 more replies

If we are being honest, we all know the DNC will make sure Bernie doesn’t win. Have you seen how good Beto looks with a beard?
-
Bernie will run Dem to push his issues, that is all we can hope for in his candidacy again.

DNC got media to trash Sanders in 2016. And that conspiracy is still going strong. GOP elites hated their populist outsider too ... but they didn’t conspire & cheat. Karma got the Dems ... just enough Sanders supporters flipped to the semi-populist to decide the election.
-
You were going good until the last erroneous assertion. It wasn't Bernie to tRump voters that cost
#HRC the WH. It was the 6-7 mil that voted for BO in '12 that didn't vote in '16. Dems, as always, did it to themselves. - 3 more replies

Mainstream outlets are afraid of Sanders and of the moderate social democracy he espouses. So they conspire to denigrate his chances and promote those of the tired old centrist and very unpopular Clinton wing of the party

Hey Mike you seem like a reasonable guy. Is it fair to say the dems stole the primary from Bernie? I would say yes but most liberals say he was an independent so it doesn’t count.

Joe Biden is 76 and Nancy Pelosi is 78, but we're told that they are the future of the Democratic Party. Only Sanders is painted as too old by the party elite.

It's almost as if they're afraid he might win this time. Better start putting people and measures in place to make sure anyone that might consider voting for BS is thrown off the voter rolls... or a tall building. Whatever's easier to get away with in court.
-
Nobody is afraid of Bernie. Trust that. However, more people are aware of Bernie. He's toxic to Democrats who know better.

As someone with a platform and followers willing to do something about this problem, what do you suggest be done about corporate media?
