This is baked into the narrative . We know how missionaries think and what motivates their arrogance and the hubris behind their beliefs of cultural superiority. The true lesson is keep your superstitions to yourself and mind your own business.

By your logic, literally any heinous act can be justified, so long as the aggressor has good intentions and has rationalized that the victim will somehow be better off. It’s ludicrous.
