Because the lives of Egyptian Muslims languishing in Sisi’s jails, or Gujarati Muslims who were massacred, or Gazan Muslims who were bombarded, don’t matter to self-styled leftists like this guy, who just erase them from the narrative. Gabbard has promoted Sisi, Modi & Bibi. FFS.https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1065302784583626758 …

Just because that criticism is disingenuous coming from certain quarters doesn't make it entirely wrong. She was right to criticize Trump, absolutely. But her reasoning is inchoate and your thesis on why the left dislikes her is terribly reductive.
-
The left doesn't dislike her.

No Mr Tracey, you're wrong I am afraid. The argument to call her "Assad's pal" is extremely relevant in this case at Tulsi labelled Trump MbS' bitch. Both are shielding a dictator of their choice. Therefore, she was the worst candidate to take the moral ground here. That's all.

Gabbard is not merely an opponent of intervention in Syria. She visited the butcher Assad, defends and whitewashes his crimes. I oppose intervention in Syria, but I don't go around denying that he is a butcher.

Gabbard opposed the Iran nuclear accord: https://www.jacobinmag.com/2017/05/tulsi-gabbard-president-sanders-democratic-party … Clearly, based on his statement about "Assad's pal'", Michael Tracey opposed the Iran nuclear accord, by your logic, Hasan, as his statement on "Assad's pal" is in your view a total endorsement of her every view.
-
However, Michael Tracey did not oppose the Iran nuclear accord. Nor does he refer to "radical Islam", as has Tulsi Gabbard. Nonetheless, by your reasoning, Hasan, Tracey's rejection of the "Assad's pal" silliness means he is on board with rejecting "radical Islam".

Liberals are doing this in order to undermine her criticisms of trump? How does that make sense?

Tracey obviously made no comment beyond rebutting the asinine claim that Gabbard is Assad's "friend" based on her opposition to toppling the Assad regime (ugly US foreign policy never about humanitarianism). Trying to expand that to Gaza or Egypt is silly. Come on.

The Syria stuff is total nonsense anyway. How is being against Al-Qaeda affiliates a bad thing now? The anti-Assad stuff is just some weird thing that a bunch of people who have friends who work for the state department care about.
-
She's not being criticized for being "anti-AQ". She's being criticized for supporting a regime that is responsible for massacring 100s of 1000s of civilians, and a regime that has supported AQ as its proxy
