The reason she met with Assad was to pursue non-military options for reducing conflict in Syria. Trump "pals around" with MBS in order to continue arms sales and exacerbate regional conflict. There is no moral parity whatsoever between the nature of these "meetings."

Similarly, some tried to use the "pals around with dictators" line to discredit Trump's meeting with Kim, which is *also* of a qualitatively different nature than his sucking up to MBS. The ultimate purpose of the Kim meeting was to reduce conflict. So it's not morally comparable

Wait - Democrats and Republicans coming together to attack someone as authoritarian and un-American because that person voices opposition to establishment foreign policy and perpetual war? Where have we seen that before?
-
And Tulsi’s a veteran too

Exactly. Gabbard was targeted in the same way Ron Paul, Bernie Sanders, Jim Traficant, et al, were targeted because of their anti-establishment, anti-war philosophies. Anyone the regime feels is threatening its territory will be attacked.

I’d like to learn more about the “legitimate criticisms,” of Tulsi, because right now she looks like one of the 2-3 best options for the Dems in 2020.
-
I’d say THE BEST option

What unites Republicans and Democrats is a twisted worldview of Empire. Anyone countering this narrative will be attacked and vilified.

I first became aware of her 4 or 5 years ago. Since then everything I've learned about her increases my admiration for her integrity.

It's funny, because as someone who considers himself a right leaning libertarian, Gabbard is one of the Democrats I respect the most. She seems goal oriented and genuinely interested in fairness and compassion, not dunking on the other team.

Those also happen to be the same qualities that I saw in Sanders and convinced me to vote for him in the 2106 primary. That is, before the establishment put him in his place as a Hillary cheerleader, forcing me to vote for Trump.

I like tulsi. I vote progressively. If she were to run I would absolutely vote for her. Not sure republicans can complain. She’s military, pretty, and hasn’t done anything as bad as trump. At least she would react to Saudi Arabia

Kind of hypocritical to have her foreign policy stance and in the same breath tell donald trump to punish a foreign nation acting as the world police no?
