Who could've predicted that the "lefty" who was going on about the evils of PC and SJWs would suddenly be making nativist arguments in a Trumpist journal.

“Nativism” has nasty connotations that she goes to great lengths to avoid endorsing, and in fact explicitly rejects. If you disagree with the overall argument, fine; but there’s really no need for tendentious characterizations.

It was somehow inevitable Tracey would end up in this thread defending the subject. I knew nothing about it before clicking on it, but I was 99% sure Tracey would chime in with a contrarian opinion. Lo and behold....

I'm tryna figure out in the context of ever increasing globalism, what is the lefts answer for protecting workers here? For me, more specifically black people. Because I've seen nothing to show why something like open borders is good for us. Ive only seen it as negative

But I bet when you go to the store you’d be super pissed at vegetables that are 8 bucks a pound. No one ever sees the benifit of things until they are actually paying for someone to make 15 bucks an hour picking strawberries.

Rejected with all the conviction of a legal disclaimer. You and she want to make these arguments without having to deal with the consequences of making them.

Every bullshit nativist argument says it's not nativist, until it's in the presence of nativists and can be open.

You are making a distinction without a difference. The only position that working-class people should adopt (strategically and morally) is that of open borders. National borders serve the powerful, period.
