Main stream media in coordination with Government which represents the interests of The trillion dollar oil and gas industry, hides the fact that the breath and depth of these fires are a direct cause of man made global warming.

No they aren't. They are a direct cause of the California Government doing stupid stuff like banning controlled burning and not allowing people to water their yards and cutting off access to water tables because "the environment". This has nothing to do with Global warming and,

The lack of coverage is probably is due to the fact that the root cause of the fire was mismanagement of both public utilities and public lands.

This. This right here is why there is no coverage.

A couple of days ago the Butte Co. fire fell to second story on the national news because it snowed in New York.

That is 1/3 of 9-11. This should be much bigger news, but it is rural. If there was a fire in NYC and 1000 people were missing in the buildings, it would be wall-to-wall coverage.

I think you nailed it. It's anti-rural bias. Who in the democratic political class or their propaganda wing called the mainstream media is going to miss a few hundred

Is Alan Dershowitz among them? That would up Acela corridor coverage substantially.

It’s an idea, he should travel there and visit affected communities to raise East Coast consciousness of the situation

I thought the list was rife with inaccurate information and was known to be vastly inflated? Obviously spread awareness in California for the missing but is it newsworthy outside if the state?
-
Yes, it is newsworthy. It's our Country. These are missing Americans at a time when their community has been devastated. Americans needing help. That help comes from across the nation. Left or Right~at the end of the day, we are still ALL Americans & we take care of each other.

Two things jump out at me here: why use every single tragedy to try to score some sort of points? Changing the topic from horrendous suffering of human beings to some nonsense about “rural bias” only hurts the ppl in northern Cali even more. Secondly; as a Fl Keys resident the

Only thing national media ever wants to talk post natural disaster is climate change and how D.C. should take even more control over local issues which, at least here, only pisses the victims off even more. Finally; how much national coverage did the Keys get following Irma??

Compare the coverage of those missing in CA to Khashoggi.

The MSM is still trying to get Americans to care about the death of a Saudi Muslim Brotherhood "journalist" killed overseas, and convince them it's Trump's fault. Ain't happening.

I've been thinking the same. Unexpected climate-change conflagration apparently doesn't fit the template media uses for hurricane reporting: Days of suspense, twirling graphics, star turns by wind-blown reporters, followed up by interviews with plucky people vowing to rebuild.

Also, media reporting on unhealthy air quality in SF seemed to accept that idea that inhaling air equivalent to smoking 12 cigarettes isn't at all newsworthy when that is going on in Beijing and Dehli, but it's a shocker when it's SF.
