People aren’t mocking her because she’s struggling financially. People are mocking her because she is way out of her depth and this is just the latest example of that.

I’ve seen some of the accounts of the people mocking her. Trust me, they wouldn’t know depth if they dove into the shallow end of the pool.

She has a guaranteed job for the next 60 plus years at $13k/MTH. Start her a GoFundMe if you're so concerned.
-
Yeah but it’s those transitionary phases jumping between jobs that are really difficult, because most people don’t have savings

I mock her because her short term cash flow problem is nothing like the average person’s. She’ll be earning $174k per year in January. I think landlords will rent to a member of Congress.
-
Margaret, her point isn’t “woe is me” but that people already in Congress don’t think about these things. Your criticism is fair but so is hers. Still, MK2020!! (Don’t wait! Let’s work!)

I lived in a motel 6 for 5 weeks using a discovercard before my first job check came in. She can do the same. Doesn’t take an economic degree ; it takes humility
-
She has an economic decree, scary isn't it.

If she wasn't about to make less than $174K/yr w/ all kinds of cost reimbursements, and didn't come from NYC, her point would be more salient.

What, in your estimation, qualifies as a real job? While not especially lucrative if you’re un-bought by wealthy donors and corporations, running for Congress is a real job. Organizer for prez campaign-real job. Bartender-real job. All of these-real jobs....pic.twitter.com/N1CMKbLW68

She doesn't have the salary yet. How hard is that to grasp?

Yes, yes we’re making fun of her plight because she’s “poor” not because she just got a lifetime sinecure, will certainly become a millionaire and she’s poormouthing her current incredibly temporary inconvenience.

And what ruling party has caused the majority of these problems?

Sorry Michael. She’s not getting much sympathy from your followers. Turns out people don’t empathize with someone who is about to become a millionaire freaking out because she can’t figure out how to manage living with a roommate like tons of Congress freshman do.
-
About to become a millionaire? What are you talking about. She'll earn a decent salary, but it's hardly enough to be considered rich in DC, especially since she will have to pay rent in two places.

She is struggling to afford in a trendy neighborhood, there are other neighborhoods she can afford. I make 2300 after taxes and I can afford rent in Brooklyn, not in the hip areas Ofcourse.
