Guys, Michael Tracey is really pissed that he's only ever received one notification on Tinder and it's to go vote.https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1059867950285504513 …

What the hell does that matter if the *content* of their message doesn't? "Go vote" is a completely nonpartisan message. Should only people who don't vote and have no political opinions encourage voter turnout? Your complaint makes no sense.

The point is they’re encouraging people to vote because they desire a particular outcome. If they didn’t think their encouragement would help achieve that outcome, they wouldn’t bother. So the performative corporate neutrality is meant to obscure their true intention.

I know none of the ladies using Tinder have a preference for you vs. practically anyone else.

I mean, sure? But their actual message does not have one. Wanting something and actually doing it are two different things. Your argument is like saying if you want a bagel but end up getting a croissant because the shop was out, then you actually have...a bagel.

I think Tinder, as a business subject to regulation by various government agencies, is better served by a GOP congress than by a Dem congress and that your assumptions about their secret motivation to get Dems elected is based on nothing more than a hunch.
