And since time immemorial people have said "Theres too much at stake to start a 3rd party, it wont ever happen." Its like everyone is insane expecting a different outcome from the same shit happening over and over

This is truer point than op. We need more prominent third party options.

This could easily be a midterm where the winner is the ultimate loser. If the GOP wins both houses, they'll be expected to deliver something beyind tax cuts, and if the Democrats win the house, they'll mire things up in impeachment/investigations and discredit themselves.

I thought we were supposed to be extinct by the 2nd year of Trump. As bad as he sucks at being a human and a president, the ramp up in hyperbole over the last few election cycles is pretty remarkable.

I don’t know about you but I already died when net neutrality was reversed. I’m writing this as a ghost. On ghost internet because the internet died, too. Oh! And I died a second time when the new tax plan was implemented.

The difference with then and now is “the point of no return.” Time is ticking and as one of the world’s leading polluters, America has to get its shit together. We can’t do that with a GOP majority. Will energy companies see the light? Maybe. But by then it’ll be too late
-
You’re right, we can’t get there with the GOP. But it will take more than voting in Dems to get the Dems to go against their donors too.

Yes I remember when we voted the House to the Democrats in 2006 and they impeach bush for lying about surveillance.

Pretty sure every person that ever says that also prefaces it by saying that we say that every 4 years...

There goes Tracey again, trying to minimise the importance of elections! Especially the ones in which democrats tend to vote less. If you’re not on pay roll of Kock brothers already... I’d be honestly disappointed. I mean what else is the point of this tweet? Utter lunacy.

this one is important because we don't know how it turns out, and you can effect it. once it's over, the importance is gone i guess

It's possible they've been right each time. Presupposes that if the outcome goes one way we're "saved" and the other way "doomed"... Both seem naive but cynicism also doesn't seem warranted by evidence.

Well this time it’s for http://real.it is the most important midterm in our lifetime.Because this will tell us how it is going forward. If the democratic’s lose.Trump wins and it will be because of the bad leadership of Pelois and Schumer.
