Even if you believe Kavanaugh is the victim of a despicable partisan attack, and even if you believe he had every right to employ deceptive tactics in order to ward off that attack, you can *still* acknowledge that he made multiple false statements under oath. Really, you can.

"Kavanaugh made multiple false statements under oath, but I don't care about that because I believe in the political goals his being on the Court would advance" -- that's a coherent view. Denial is not.

Rather than the constant talking point of "Kavanaugh made multiple false statements under oath" (Nate Silver, in particular, has been constantly tweeting the same thing), it would be far more effective if you simply took quotes and showed them to be false.

How provably false with intent in a court of law are these statements? I think most see perjury claims as a wash because it is now accepted Dem and Republicans lie in Congress hearings and no one does anything about it. Perjury never gets convicted. All political hackery.

Michael, What are specific lies of Kavanaugh to which you refer? Do you think @FBI missed them, or will document them in current (October 2018) report? @realDonaldTrump

why give an inch that it’s partisan attack? It’s implausible that three women that don’t know each other are all lying. False accusations are rare & usually outlandish, you literally can’t pay women to false report bc the disbelief, ridicule. thread-https://twitter.com/jeremycyoung/status/1046112682594557952?s=21 …

First, go back and read that article by @sannewman. When false accusations do happen, they follow specific patterns and are made by specific types of people. They're not random or hard to predict. Those accusers don't behave like Dr. Blasey Ford.

What we should worry about instead is what happens to women like Dr. Blasey Ford when they tell the truth and are still not believed. What's been said about Dr. Blasey Ford would land most people in therapy for years. Meanwhile, Kavanaugh's nomination still marches forward.

The laughable and insane parsing of Kavanaugh’s testimony to hunt down alleged perjury where none exists is a good example of why Giuliani does not want the president to testify before Mueller.
