I still oppose Kavanaugh mainly on judicial philosophy grounds, but even if I *supported* him on judicial philosophy grounds, I would find this pattern of deception disqualifying and advocate that he be replaced with someone who hadn't made multiple false statements under oath.

Does that disqualify him from being SCOTUS in your opinion ?
-
I already believed he was disqualified for reasons of judicial philosophy. But setting that aside, yes, making multiple false statements under oath because you can't retain your emotional composure (or for whatever other reason) can be reasonably deemed disqualifying.

Making false statements under oath should be enough to keep him from the appointment. Should he face some charges as well?
-
Perjury would be more difficult to establish. For the purposes of a confirmation process, doing so is not necessary. A pattern of deception might not constitute legally actionable perjury, but it can still be disqualifying.

Please delineate which statements he made were false. You’re grasping at straws, spreading false narratives because the whole sexual assault ploy fell apart.

People willing to accept what they see as small lies in favor of “greater truth”—banning abortion (& other human rights that conflict w/ religious superstition), having more guns & less govt. b/c it gets in the way of greed. No irony here.

Interesting that you’re rather preoccupied with the faults of Kavanaugh, while ignoring the glaring multitude of instances of questionable statements and unsupported accusations of Ford. Microscopic on the minutiae, blinded by the conspicuous. You’re simply a stealthy Progressive

Disgusted by Feinstein holding on to this for 2 months. This is a political smear campaign and weakens cases of REAL sexual abuse and rape, I am one of those women raped at a party in high school by an older boy whendrunk. I dont want Kavanaugh, BUT, I also dont want this

There is multiple evidence to assume the same of Ford so we have a draw. Is this something as it was originally reported a rational person would make an issue of. It became more and more amplified until I no longer recognize it as compared to the original complaint!

Ford wasn't the one applying for a job. Moot point.

What statement under oath has undeniable evidence that it was false? From what I've seen the are only further witness allegations that they are false.

And there is ample evidence that Kavanaugh is an anti-worker corporate lackey who does the bidding of wealthy elites and intelligence agencies. His nomination should be rejected based on his judicial rulings. Not to mention lying under oath.
