It's necessary to acknowledge Dems have every incentive to delay the confirmation process as long as possible, and will use any tactics available to accomplish this (prolonging FBI investigation, etc.) -- But that *in no way* justifies Kavanaugh's multiple under-oath deceptions

The full statement clarifies that Keyser “does not refute” Ford’s account! So it’s an even stronger basis to infer Kavanaugh’s deception.

Unlike the previous example of supposed lying (the specific gathering thing), this one seems legit. But it's an open question whether Kavanaugh specifically chose his words, or was rather emotionally overwhelmed and spoke like a normal person, as opposed to a lawyer.

He’s a federal judge testifying under oath. Being “emotionally overwhelmed” doesn’t justify telling falsehoods in that context, which I’m sure he himself would acknowledge.
