Conservatives are demanding that Kavanaugh be given every benefit of the doubt, even when the plain reading of multiple statements indicates clear deception. He's a federal judge testifying under oath. Bill Clinton was (rightly) pilloried for the same kind of lawyerly obfuscation

Still not quite seeing how a "plain reading" shows "clear deception." (And I am not a fan of his jurisprudential predelictions on many legal issues).

Here’s an exhaustive detailing of the deceit.https://www.currentaffairs.org/2018/09/how-we-know-kavanaugh-is-lying …

Not saying I’m a big Judge K fan but this article is basically on Op-ed, he’s making a lot of assumptions and concessions at the same time

I read through it, and found it unpersuasive of clear deceit. I saw inferential evidence of minimizing his drinking, but that was about all I saw as "plain" or "clear." The author also comes across as more of an advocate than adjudicator, which made his argument less persuasive.

The 1st supposed “bald-faced lie” is preposterous, there’s a simple distinction in Fords gathering, 4 guys on 2 younger girls drinking beers. That marks it as different from other events and easily denied. Those times he was with girls in a group were with well known persons.

i read this whole thing and theres nothing in here he lied about, just intentional misreading (kavanaugh said he never attended an event ‘like this’, clearly meaning the event she described) and absurd semantics (“she didnt say it never happened, just that she wasn’t there”) lmaopic.twitter.com/8NWjGCCsMJ

its kind of embarrassing you would post this tbh @mtracey, this is buzzfeed level “debunking”, you calling it intentional deceit is obviously an emotional reaction.

Hilarious how you dont apply that same logic to her. Yes, according to your little post, she is obviously lying.pic.twitter.com/FWhGM0Ev7k
