1/ @NathanJRobinson wrote a masterful demolition of Kavanaugh's testimony. He's so clearly lying about so many things. In a normal world testimony this transparently dishonest would absolutely be disqualifying. Kavanaugh clearly thinks both Senatehttps://www.currentaffairs.org/2018/09/how-we-know-kavanaugh-is-lying …

2/ Dems and the American people are morons (which... maybe fair point on the former). I think the "Renate alum" lie gets me the most. Do you think it's credible, given what we know about frattish high school boys, that "Renate alum" is a reference to... dancing with her?pic.twitter.com/iQB9o3LVU1

3/ For Kavanaugh to flip this around and say I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE DRAGGING THIS POOR WOMAN'S NAME THROUGH THE MUD OVER AN INNOCENT SHOW OF AFFECTION when *she herself* was insulted upon finding out about the phrase really is something else. 5/ chance he is being truthful here? Do you think it's credible that Kavanaugh believes "devil's triangle" to be a reference to a drinking game, despite the fact that everyone else thinks it means a MMF threesome and there is zero evidence to suggest such a game exists?pic.twitter.com/ORSYVl43Mv

Is it not possible that a teenage slang term carried a meaning 36 years ago that isn’t recognizable today? Slang is constantly evolving, and multi-layered. Inside jokes are particularly inscrutable. I just don’t get the emphasis on this aspect; seems almost trivializing.

Or maybe one of them thought Devil’s Triangle was the name of a drinking game and the others told him what it really meant and they all laughed and made up a drinking game and it became an inside joke. In other words, something teenagers would do.
