I'm simply saying that being accused of gang rape by someone you'd never met and having it be publicly disseminated might be more of a reason for emotional distress than what Clarence Thomas had to deal withhttps://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1045561762555277313 …

Yes imagine my shock when he doesn't react and you start saying anyone that shows a lack of emotion in this situation is a sociopath and obvious rapist. Ffs why do I even reply

really? can the 2 not both be employed in an honest and cohesive way? I think if you let your emotion interfere with the logic of your argument that could be problematic.. but you don't need to be without emotion or passion or anger...

Sure we're scaring your young children and calling you a gang rapist in front of your family and the world 24/7 for weeks, but Tracey demands a certain level of decorum from you.

I heard that expressed a lot today so could you explain WHY? I doubt this man has ever been so emotional in a courtroom (was HE ever on trail before?) and ever will be again. Also SCOTUS justices issue written decisions for which they have ample time.

In this case, the nominee was defending his name and his reaction was human, not that of a robot. If, while seated in the Supreme Court, he faced a decision involving himself or someone close to him, he would have to recuse himself.

And what are you comparing it to? NONE of the other members of the court have ever gone through what he has. So what exactly, Michael do you have to compare it to? How do you know how any of the others would behave?

He was not an impartial judge hearing a case. He was defending himself against slanderous, malicious accusations. He was defending his honor, his family, and who he was as a Man. Big difference in setting and context.

It's possible that his emotional display was calculated, he's hip to his environment.

This is a bullshit avenue of attack because had he remained composed and stoic he would be accused of being a cold-hearted sociopath.
