If you believe some combination of 1) Trump is an illegitimate president installed by a foreign power 2) GOP “stole” the previous open seat 3) change in composition of the court would literally subordinate women... it’s not hard to see why you’d conclude this tactic is justified

Youget your answer whenever people respond to concerns about the objective fairness of unsubstantiated accusations with “But Merrick Garland”. They’re literally telling you their primary concern is political quid pro quo
-
When I hear Garland, I say Bork... see how that game works? It’s. No win childish and destructive but that is today’s gameplay.

Of course they would...their new(old)communist mantra is “by any means necessary”. Is it surprising then that true believers would would lie, cheat, murder in the name of their god...collectivism?

Hirono already answered this when she said that his judicial approach (read that as a different political philosophy than hers) overrides any presumption of his innocence

No. Heres another thought experiment: if kavanaugh sexually assaulted the professor, would it be justified to rush through the confirmation with little investigation to tilt the balance of the court?
-
I mean there's a guy who literally wrote the book on the period in kavanaughs life and who the professor claims to have been in the room and even he hasnt been subpoenaed.

The only reason Kavanaugh has this"opportunity"is because actual sexual assault was dismissed as fabricated by his sponsor.

This will never be a bad tactic until someone actual gets charged for Perjury. You can expect the whole conspiracy is going to come to light once the liars are about to actually go to jail.

No way. Short sighted, likely counter productive, and against everything I believe in. No fucking way.

Absolutely not. Fabricating sexual assault would not justify the ends. This would be a despicable move on behalf of Dems. Dr. Ford’s testimony, thus far, seems entirely credible.

The Congress, courts, and police have been on the side of rapists for far too long. I believe her. The evidence is all around us.
