Yesterday @JackSmithIV was accused of offenses explicitly described as existing in a "gray area," namely "emotional abuse, manipulation, and gaslighting." Within hours he was publicly disowned by his union and fired. I'm sorry, but there is something wrong with this process.

The tweet specifically referenced allegations in "an article." If they'd deliberated about this for months, they didn't give that impression in their cursory throwing-under-the-bus announcement. Whatever policy led to that cannot be a good one.

it’d be nice if you updated your misleading tweets suggesting a union threw a member under the bus pronto— you responded knee jerk & his behavior forces a crisis for members & solidarity, regardless. unions aren’t just to protect workers but for liberation from all exploitation.
