None of the other candidates that made the final cut had a well defined and known position on the unbridled power of a president. This above all else was what drove the WH to nominate him as opposed to other candidates that party leadership wanted.

What a stupid uninformed opinion. All the final candidates were Fed Society members. They all have more or less the same opinion on executive power.

bs, innocent until proven guilty and the lies are being disputed by the truth one by one; we don't want any delays before the midterms, we see right through the political agenda of the swampers obstructors and lying cheating politicians

Not one person asked about the $200k his mysterious benefactors paid off. Or
#DeutscheKennedy which precipitated the nomination. This is not obstruction. It's#Collaboration.@TheDemocrats have made a show of opposition. It's up to the public to stop it.#KavaNO

Wrong. Because this way of attacking can't just be accepted by admitting guilt to something that may not have happened. You think the next guy/gal wouldn't get the same treatment? Please.

Neil Gorsuch didn't have anyone accuse him of sexual assault or harassment.

Democrats will smear any candidate Trump puts up there.

Remember what Dems did to Neil Gorsuch?

No, because the Democrats would do this no matter what. Never forget one of those groups had sent an email with "We must stop XX" in it. A fill-in-the-blank. There's no credible reason to dump him.

1) There's not time to get anybody else confirmed before the election 2) Why should we let a man's life be ruined by an unsubstantiated accusation the accuser appears reluctant even to testify to? & 3) We can't let the Dems discourage future candidates by caving to these tactics

To allow this strategy to succeed means that no nominee would ever be confirmable. Any baseless allegation would be enough. What has happened to innocent until provide guilty? What is the EVIDENCE against him?
-
Oh, like the precedent the GOP already set with Obama. The Dems would be more or less completely justified to just say "nah, we're not letting anyone nominate anyone ever again."

Try "It would mean every GOP nominee from now until eternity would be subjected to grotesque smears and scurrilous accusations."

And maybe because it would be very easy to get a 3 or 4 decade old un supportable accusation against any R nominated.

I support the fight. Tired of the same tactics over & over being successful because we caved. Sometimes things are worth fighting for!
