Gotcha, I find breaking an embargo dishonest if I agreed to it, but that's my honor not yours. Re: timing, everyone's stories dropped as soon as the embargo lifted, as I'm sure you've witnessed plenty in the past.
Again my issue is not abiding by an embargo you agreed to, it's the bizarre to-the-minute coordination, which has weird connotations and (not totally unreasonably) can breed suspicion

To be fair Silicon Valley companies sharing embargoed information with hand-selected media outlets is a form of coordination even if not indicative of some greater conspiracy.
Darcy has written whole articles in an attempt to get Jones banned. How could he avoid the impression of corporate coordination?
