Not asserting any "conspiracy," the more banal and accurate explanation (as usual) is that reporters have no compunction about engaging in what gives the impression of weird corporate coordination

Apparently it's considered rude to point out that hand-picked reporters coordinating to-the-minute with a huge corporation to promulgate their press release can engender suspicions. I remember when that sort of thing used to be seen as kinda untoward
