I think your general point is correct - admitting our biases is a good thing to be doing - but I don't think Dorsey claiming to be "left-leaning" (or contending that there is no ideology behind Twitter) is all that self-aware.

It's admirably self-aware compared to what many critics would apparently have him do, which is to be in denial (at least publicly) about the political orientation of the company.

He says lean left because he is buying into an establishment version of "the left" which comprises Joe Manchin & Hillary Clinton. Basically Republicans are Right, Dems are Left. He has never addressed Brock & CtR. Has anyone in the MSM? Has Bernie?
