Under certain controlled circumstances, yes. That’s always been the case. ExxonMobile can’t freely pollute their private property with no ramifications

Technically they are not private companies and cannot do what they want they have to answer to the shareholders and SEC for regulatory purposes. Private companies don’t sell shares so they have more freedom then public trading corporations.

Thank you. Not many know the difference between the two. I'm going to spread this around.

it's startling how many "socialists" turn into Ayn Rand acolytes if it means getting right-wingers deplatformed. It's also startling how many anarcho-capitalists are blind to the pernicious censorship that such private property absolutism engenders.

While I agree about that, there is a legitimate point to be made that Twitter/Facebook being the "public square" is relative. There are just as many people, probably more, that don't engage online altogether. FB/Twitter as they are now are within their right to screen content.

I'm fine with them not hosting Jones's content for similar reasons as to why I'm fine with them not hosting snuff videos or kiddie porn.

I'd be satisfied if they'd just admit to their own bias and that they shill for specific groups.

I’m really getting annoyed that
@billmaher has not touched Sarah Jeong or this issue at all the past two weeks — esp given his history w/ Free Speech issues. (Usually breaking from liberal PC dogma.) Maybe he’ll talk about it tonight.

So since your law and car are in public view I have a right to post signs and bumper stickers in them of view points you don’t agree with for free speech right? You wouldn’t want to censor people on your property would you?pic.twitter.com/2bpEXLN6rQ
