In theory, curtailing the ability of former officials to profit from their security clearances would be a worthwhile reform, but since Trump is motivated mainly by spite, this comes across as petty retribution and won’t amount to anything beyond his own personal gratification
Not clear that determining who loses clearances on the basis of personal spite makes for good policy
