like any other rally, if it bleeds it reads. it was consequential last year and had the potential to be this year. I used to be against all of this coverage because generally activists want coverage to spread movement. the type of coverage matters more-so to their standing.

I think it’s pretty simple. Drama and horror = both a better story/more attention & helps cement idea that we live in uniquely dangerous times during which reporters’ role is heightened
