Read this statement on the Alex Jones vanquishment from a UK civil liberties group, which correctly describes what occurred as a "watershed moment" -- the significance of which has been lost amidst the short-sighted celebrations by people who hate Joneshttps://twitter.com/bbw1984/status/1027156330853937152 …

Right, because the real reason is to mindlessly crush their enemies. The only reason anybody behaves this way is when they're so drunk on their own power and stupidity that they forget that they will also destroy themselves.

Crikey, folks! Google, Facebook, etc. and the corporate elites who run them cannot be "the left". They are business entities which = "the right". The real left is fundamentally and ideologically opposed to private ownership of these kinds of social/economic power.

Just start another show. Call it something different and have Alex Jones just be a contributor and have someone else do all the speaking. I never agreed with a lot of what he said, but to just cut him off is total BS.

With proof it's not theory. At what point does it simply become conspiracy? How much proof do you need? Can we reframe and say, proving the conspiracy? Proof is being assembled- we know it exists, therefore it's no longer theory. It's a matter of bringing it to court now.

The very best case scenario for people who believe Jones' claims were baseless and his banning was warranted and exceptional: there will be *millions* of people/voters/customers, for at least a generation, who will never trust them again.

Worse still for the short-sighted: despite damaging trust and eroding the norm of free speech, they didn't turn Jones into a martyr, he still has his app and website and radio waves, they made him a folk hero.

I like Alex Jones. Some of the stuff that he says is a out there like the 9/11 stuff but he has given his platform to some talented people like Paul Joseph Watson and is one of the few that talks about the dangers of GMO's and vaccines. I can parse through the material myself

That is a decent point. They probably ought to have just let him keep screaming. The big deal of a mess everybody is making at this point is almost going to give him more popularity as an entertainment figure.

It doesn't matter though, Conservatives are kind of stuck using these platforms due to their Monolithic size. I do wonder how much would these platforms survive if all the Conservatives (Money) went elsewhere.
