Even if you agree with the action, the implications of a simultaneous, coordinated expulsion from the major social media platforms are fairly enormous. Dwelling on how personally awful Alex Jones is distracts from any serious consideration of what the tech companies did yesterday

I guess I agree? Seems roughly accurate as a descriptive proposition.

People who hate Alex Jones are glad he's being harmed by censorship. People who hate Julian Assange are glad he's being persecuted. The two groups are essentially the same haters of Free Speech.

I wonder if - given the near-simultaneous coordination of expulsion- a Sherman Antitrust cause of action might exist? Private corporations acting in concert to achieve a desired result to the detriment of another who has very few other, similar options? 🧐

There are decentralized platforms that are censorship resistant. @peepethApp is a great blockchain backed platform similar to Twitter. If censorship is a concern of the people, then they can solve it through the adoption of decentralized technology.

He has his own website. He can also start his own platform. He can also find some other platform. You are scapegoating. Sometimes things happen quickly not due to collusion but because the dam finally breaks.

Maybe if they start deleting Alex Jones out of photos, we will notice that something is wrong.

In a free society the best arguements win. Everyone should have a voice and let the chips fall where they may.

Internet social media becomes a new shadow government...silencing voices and directing what you see/hear/read. Working in unison, like a monopoly.

Honest question: why is this a problem? And is there any evidence this is either a trend, or has applied to anyone other than Alex Jones? If it's the latter couldn't this just be good judgement and discretion?
