It’s only ridiculous to people who mistakenly think free speech means you’re owed someone else’s platform!

The idea of free speech predates the constitution and as of now very few I've seen are saying the government is going to arrest them for blocking him. One thing can be a free speech issue while not necessarily involving the first admendment.

It's a matter of who controls the FCC, and how transparent and accountable they are to internet users. My concern in losing net neutrality is losing the ability for *anyone* to start a website and get traffic. The elite want an internet *they* control. I like municipal broadband.

I thought you were old enough to remember Myspace? Also a new jobsite and dating app startup begins every week so what are you talking about?

All monopolies start somewhere, and they have all potential viable competition in the beginning, then pass the tipping point and are all but impervious to market forces, particularly when teamed with the holders of monopolies in ajacent businesses.pic.twitter.com/jgHfd06cyn

Dude can stream on periscope. Post videos on Twitter or set up a GoFundMe to make a website to post his content on. There are still myriad ways to peddle his idiocy. But platforms protecting themselves from the imminent Sandy Hook lawsuits is just smart.

Yes, private companies have the right to refuse service to anyone. But when Masterpiece Cakeshop refused to bake a gay wedding cake, liberals/progressives shrieked with indignation. Well, like lynching parties, all that matters is which end of the rope you’re on!

More like "Start your own phone company" in 1960. But the Bell System didn't listen in on every call and hang up on people then yank their phone service when it found calls politically unacceptable. This is more like East German territory....

“Don’t like it? Don’t click “I agree” to terms of service when you sign up then” would be more apropo here.

I miss the days when people could just choose to read whatever news they wanted...or skip the ones with headlines like “75 year old woman gives birth to a goat” at the checkout lane at the store. We’re gonna start burning books again soon.

If the baker won't bake your cake, open your own bakery. Funny how I don't recall hearing that argument.
