Yup, no one cares about the Russian nothing burger except the clueless dupes who tune in to MSNBC.

The way we as the public follow news taste-makers seems only slightly less arbitrary than the “ins” and “outs” of the seasonal fashion world. Tell me, Twitter, what should I care about today? (Hint, not murders in Chicago or ethnic cleansing in Myanmar)

What be considered Mexican cable news is actually open tv. They are experiencing the same drop in ratings. Is this a north american thing? Or is this a worldwide reaction to all the bullshit on tv?

It's a combination of fed up with BS and better alternatives. The entire cable industry itself is pretty much dying, it doesn't have the stranglehold it once had. Their media monopoly is still a thing but waning, as is their power to push their narrativeshttps://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2017/06/cable-tv-failing-as-a-business-cable-industry-lobbyist-says/ …

Good to hear nobody's watching. Maybe some truth can sneak into their consciousnesses.

My guess is that very very few people sit down at home and watch news channels during the day. Most of the viewership comes in the form of being in the background at airports, gyms, lobbies, etc.

And I would put forth that most of those people are "news junkies" and largely have their opinions baked in already.

I think those stats are a little misleading. I never watch cable news networks but follow a lot of them on Twitter and through there apps. I understand the point your making but majority of people get there morning news through other mediums but are still receiving same info.

Yet again you’re intentionally skewing something to cater to your anti establishment twitter persona You know Neilson numbers don’t = impact. You don’t have to watch morning cable news LIVE to get the message, whether it be social media clips or your crazy uncle. It has impact.
