"Act of war" isn't just incendiary phrasing. It's justification for retaliatory military action. Political figures using this terminology need to be challenged on what exactly it is that they're advocatingpic.twitter.com/OsHYzW6Zt9

Funny how it wasn't an "act of war" when Russia was meddling in 2014 and 2012 and 2010 and 2008, etc.? This narrative is psychotic. And yes, they do need to be called out to explain what they want done in response.

I agree. In the light of "it's" statement that the Mueller probe has increased the likelihood of nuclear war I hope we start air raid and slide under the desk drills that we had during the Cuban Missle crises. Here we go again.

No matter how much the course of human events may foreshadow dark times, some of us will continue to hope that the good hearted will prevail & endless destruction will find another way.. while hope is not a strategy collective power of peace lovers can change history! :~)

Virtually all politicians welcome #war as a way to gain/retain power. Keep ppl believing that "They" are out to destroy "us". #MIC grows & pols get contributions. Disgusted? Don't enlist! Discourage others! Ldrs can't initiate #wars if few willing to be MilEnforcers.

It's very likely, looking at that last indictment document, we hacked-back. Is that a retaliatory act of war? This is a new rule set, isn't it?

The IC wasn't about to get permission from Trump or Congress for that, lol. But as Trump said, everybody does it.

A war would be disastrous. America hasn't been involved in one where out cities on the Continental US were attacked since the Civil War. People echoing these jingoistic war cries have no clue how even a minor nuclear exchange would effect planet, even if no strikes on US soil.

If Russia was not a peer or near pear in cyber, hell some would argue they are superior to us in this domain, we would of launched infrastructure crippling attacks yesterday. But a tit for tat cyber war on infrastructure would kill hundreds if not thousands and cripple US & RU

Given that our present plutocracy requires perpetual war, doesn't anyone else out there feel, in some secret part of themselves, that it's a bit refreshing to switch from the war on "Islamic-Terrorism" back to the Cold War (Part 2)? Wasn't it getting a bit stale?

Yes, the terminology is wrong, even "Declaration of War " would not be correct. There are Russians that are accused of hacking into computer systems, and no doubt there will be hacking in Russian systems as well, and only when the verdict "guilty " is given we can convict.
