Given the "attack on America" rhetoric, this isn't strictly wrong. It's insane, and could lead to unimaginable catastrophe, but if people believe their own rhetoric about how severe this "attack" was, why aren't they demanding that NATO invoke Article 5?pic.twitter.com/EGCDhpgYpw

Question is not whether "we need NATO to respond," it's whether the "attack" would meet the criteria for invocation of Article 5. Which, seemingly, it would

Nobody claiming that authentication attacks are an act of war has ever had to manage auth logs or do any security for any public facing website ever... They get many thousands "acts of war" incoming every year 🙄

Considering what NSA did under Obama, this hacking by the Russian was 'childs play'....U S tapped into 122 world leader in 2013 and I 'm sure we haven't given this up.....

Other than gathering dirt to use as leverage against a potential Hillary White House, the best outcome any Russian skullduggery could hope to achieve is reminiscent of an old Twilight Zone episode where aliens pulled a few simple tricks to get neighbor to turn on neighbor.pic.twitter.com/D32kINo9l4

They'll get there, absolutely it's their own goal. They've admitted as much. The anthrax vial was only one justification of many for shock and awe on Iraq. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-19/rising-threat-from-china-russia-dominate-trump-defense-strategy-jcm1xi6v … "‘Great-power competition, not terrorism’ is main focus"

Because, realistically, we don't want war. We just want people to stay out of our business like countries outside of Nato don't want our meddling in their shitty business. Why would we invoke article 5 against a nuclear power? You say you're anti war, but this statement.....

Because they know the accusations are bs. If they really believed it, sure go to war. Invoke article 5. That’s much harder than writing an oped.
