These mysterious foreign operatives are almost certainly never going to appear in US court, challenge the evidence purportedly against them, or even be *presented* with said evidence. The validity of the purported evidence will likely never be testedhttps://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1017945843154980870 …

Other than people accused of being Muslim terrorists, literally the easiest people to indict in a US courtroom would be Russian intelligence operatives accused by FBI agents of crimes.

All told, that's not a bad outcome for the prosecutors. Fulfill your public mandate, but be spared the tough part, which is proving the allegations in an adversarial setting. Meanwhile, much of the media will lap up your assertions as though they're statements of objective fact

I’ve always felt that his opinions, especially those about Russian interference, are more informed by an oppositional personality than by facts.

They'd have either plea bargained or lost in court anyway. That's how we do in America.

This tweet will age well the next time US citizens are indicted. Mueller has a history of proving stuff in court my dude. It's kind of his thing.

Is it even a surprise that they found no evidence yet the media hasn't changed their narrative in any way?

The other thing you're not considering is that these indictments are like an insurance policy for Mueller. If Trump decided to go crazy and just pardon everyone and fire everyone in an effort to shutdown the whole probe, there would still be this case hanging there.
