RW populism *is* authoritarian, so emboldening a unitary executive who they think is in their corner makes sense. they aren’t interested in democratizing, just weaponizing ‘local control’ minus interdependence, universal values. I.E. breaking ‘game’ laws & arson to cover tracks.
