GP alum '73. There certainly were kids from money, but most of us felt middle class. Some guys even worked in the dining hall to help with tuition. It wasn't Eton. Maybe things have changed.

Easy to "feel" middle class when you're positioned relative to some of the wealthiest and well-connected families in the entire country.
