What does “significantly influenced” mean? It’s ok with Americans if your campaign got foreign help, as long as it wasn’t decisive?

The unclarity of what “influence” is supposed to constitute has been lamented by critics of this overheated narrative from the beginning

It concerns me that many who do see Russiagate for the fraud it is have conceded too much when they say things like, "Well maybe the meddled, but it didn't influence anything". Social media activity does not count as election meddling, the USA doesn't hold dominion over the web.

If only the life expectancy of independent journalists was a bit more than a half a dozen critical articles of putin their voice might spread far.

I thought the Russians involved in this election meddling were also employees of Israel intel. Finger pointed at right people but wrong nation.

@aterkel Propaganda works. If you call yourself a journalist & aren't aware of the CIA's history or how propaganda works, you're either terrible at your job or are a naive dupe. Either way, do everyone else a favor and seek another profession or educate yourself. Don't insult us.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Funny how much they decry freedom of the press in Russia and then completely ignore any perspective from Russian journalist. How about having some people like this on the cable news instead of a parade of intelligence community pundits selling the new cold war?

If there were some kind of test for brainwashing, I would be willing to bet some money on "land of the free" to be the most brainwashed nation on earth

Never forget that part of "Russian meddling" was telling 5 people to name their Pokemon Go characters after victims of police brutality. Very devious tactics.

Are there REALLY "independent journalists" in Russia? I hardly believe that Putin would allow any discourse that didn't follow what he wanted out there. How many journalists has he killed while in power?

@aterkel If there wasn't so much smoke around the issue, and if Trump weren't so absolutely thin-skinned on the matter, AND if he didn't seem so happy to give Russia wanted at the expense of our allies, maybe it wouldn't have taken hold as it has. Just saying.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

One way to find out, let’s look at electoral college internet history, see if they follow fake news on fb and Twitter.

Well if we keep blaming Russia then we don’t have to acknowledge that it’s really other Americans rigging the system.

Chomsky has also been saying from Day 1 that Russiagate is nonsense. It's hard to believe him, but it also seems really odd that such a data-obsessed academic and megalefty would dismiss such a scandal.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EgaHvr_fFg&t=1065s …
